The Christian Wrong

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor”…
So sayeth the ninth commandment found at Exodus (20:16)…

This is probably old news to you all by now, but three weeks ago the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) launched a video ad against gay marriage (you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp76ly2_NoI). The main point hammered by the ad was that by giving gays the legal right to marry somehow the civil rights of Christians would be violated. The ad featured a Motley crew of distraught and beleaguered citizens identifying themselves as doctors, religious leaders, concerned mothers (and apparently an illegal alien), emoting about their plight as an ominous “gay” storm swirled in the heavens behind them... The opening line mentions: “a storm is coming… The clouds are dark- and the winds are strong… And I am afraid”...

Afraid of what? God smiting them with the very special effect lightning they used in the video when it’s discovered that they have broken God’s ninth commandment?

As it turns out none of it was true- all of the self identified “citizens” were actors portraying stories from real-life said doctors, religious leaders, and concerned mothers (and apparently an illegal alien). According to the Human Rights Campaign News release at: http://www.hrc.org/12470.htm, although the features do come from actual cases, all have been twisted, or altered to portray Christians as victims of the gay agenda (and by Christians I mean Bible Molesting Christians not real ones).

The examples portrayed in the video showcase religious(ish) people who don’t want to abide by the general non-discriminatory rules everyone else does. The Bible Molesters never seem to grasp the concept that it’s not about laws, but about love.
Gay men and women are not looking for special rights, but for equal rights, with the same treatment and the same liberties that heterosexuals seem to take for granted.

And just for the record- for the ancient Hebrews, if anyone was caught lying during testimony brought against another, the liar could be forced to submit to whatever punishment would have been imposed upon the accused up to and including death. What this translates to is that since the Bible Molesters have born false witness in an attempt to take away a fundamental right for gay people, they in turn should lose said right. So sayeth the Lord, Amen…

Didja’ hear that Bible Molesters? Maybe you’ll think twice next time you try something like that again. I won’t hold my breath.

P.S. Although nothing seems more hysterically funny than the original NOM video, since it’s debut a few weeks ago, a whole plethora of Hee-Hee-larious parodies have appeared all over the internet. For your viewing enjoyment please click on the below NOM parody links:
